Certificate program in medical acupuncture

This certificate program in medical acupuncture is one of the few university-based medical academic acupuncture training programs in North America. Aromatherapy
The Institute of Energy Wellness Studies is registered as a private recognized education institution by Human Resources and Social Development Canada. Their aromatic courses have been approved and federally registered with the Government of Canada, which entitles you
to tuition fees and educational tax credits. Registered IASP students receive AR-7 course credits leading to the designation of Certified Integrated Aromatic Sciences Practitioner from the Canadian Examining Board of Health Care Practitioners. (CEBHCP) This entitles the student to malpractice insurance.

Continuing education for medical practitioners
CAM for physicians
The National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM) offers doctors, healthcare practitioners and the general public online CAM continuing education courses on a variety of topics. Health professionals must register to receive continuing education credits. Each lecture includes a video of the lecture, including transcript, a question and answer transcript, an optional online test, additional resource links and a certificate of completion.
Modern Medicine offers doctors and other healthcare practitioners online education opportunities in various medical topics, including over 30 CME/CE courses on CAM approaches and therapies. Access is free, although registration is required. Accreditation is available for the courses, and many of them are free. The site also provides resource centres, practice management tips and clinical practice tools.
Continuing medical education (CME) conference tracking service
The Ontario Medical Association now has a conference tracking database on their website. The OMA database to concentrates on local and national medical meetings being held in Canada. Canadian sponsors of CME opportunities can advertise their events free of charge on this database. Meeting information is retained in the database until the conclusion of the event. They welcome submissions by mail, fax, e-mail or via the online "CME Sponsor Submission" form.
Continuing education for holistic practitioners

Health professionals must register to receive continuing education credits. They also offer a variety of information specifically for CAM practitioners.
Justisse Healthworks for Women offers a series of courses for holistic practitioners to become certified as a Holistic Reproductive Health Practitioner (HRHP), to help women to manage their sexual and reproductive health. Since 1987, Justisse Healthworks for Women has trained HRHPs to teach fertility awareness and serve women's overall health and well being. The program is an on-line distance learning program that is self-paced and flexible. The HRHP Trainee is given regular support and follow-up with an HRHP instructor.
