Professional experience

Nadine Feldman has been dedicated bodyworker for over twelve years, with over 25 years of business experience and charitable work. She established Have Thumbs Will Travel in 1996 to fill a market niche by making professional, alternative health practitioners accessible on-site to offices for wellness initiatives, corporate events, product launches, parties (large or small) and other corporate or private events.

Nadine also makes on-site visits for people who may not be mobile or who are hospitalised, as well as to those who may be so busy or over-scheduled that they prefer to receive their treatments in the comfort of their own home.

Additional information

Based on the premise that discomfort, pain and reduced functionality are physical symptoms of accumulated tension (resulting from accidents, weak posture, fear, emotional blockages, and daily stress), Trager work uses the natural rhythm of the body's weight and structure to help rediscover ease, comfort, fluidity of movement, freedom from restriction and an increased potential for health and well-being.

Shiatsu is an ancient Japanese healing art focusing primarily on the release of tension and the creation of deep relaxation. It is non-invasive and very effective in improving and maintaining all the systems of the body. Shiatsu is used to treat chronic pain and ailments, while enhancing the body’s natural healing ability and preventing the progression of disease. It unblocks and mobilizes our energy, giving us greater vitality.

Trager and Shiatsu are safe, gentle and nurturing and do not conflict with other health care modalities.

Conditions which respond to the Trager approach and Shiatsu include:

  • Neck pain and discomfort
  • Headaches including migraines
  • Back problems
  • Shoulder, arm, wrist and hand problems
  • Leg problems including hamstrings, knees, ankles and feet
  • Balance problems
  • Poor posture
  • Sports injuries
  • Fibromyalgia, osteoporosis, MS, Parkinson’s
  • Respiratory problems including asthma
  • Digestive discomfort and irregularity
  • Menstrual and menopausal disorders
  • Acute and chronic fatigue
  • Stress conditions and emotional depression
