Background
Marlene Kennedy is a vibrant & gifted therapist in the ongoing process of re-discovering joy through her own self-healing of repetitive strain injury & fibromyalgia. Delighting in the flow & creativity of supporting others on their healing journey, she revels in witnessing individuals experience their own unique self-expression, reconnected & free from outdated behaviours, patterns & beliefs which no longer serve.
In addition to a 4-year Rubenfeld Synergy certification, her wholistic apprenticeship includes 3 years in body electronics as well as certification in Axiatonal Alignment/The Reconnection®, hot stone massage therapy, VoiceBio® sound therapy, Gestalt therapy, Life Between Lives® hypnotherapy, reiki, therapeutic touch and living anatomy. Her personal integration is further supported by Network Spinal Care as well as by Nucca chiropractic.
Marlene trained as a Kundalini yoga instructor. She practises Thai Buddhist and Vipassana insight meditation. Her continued commitment to the practices of dreamwork, Gestalt, Rubenfeld Synergy method® and Feldenkrais functional integration® further enhances her effectiveness in supporting others in body-mind awareness training. She shares her extensive experience teaching the holistic modalities program at Seneca College. Currently engaged in a 4-year Feldenkrais professional training program, she delights in teaching her students Awareness Through Movement®, where she trains her students to listen to themselves for a change!.
Marlene's devotion to the integration of body, mind and spirit is expressed through her gentle support of her clients. She fosters the development of trust where clients feel free to express their feelings and to share stories which may be hidden in the body-mind for a long time. Cells remember what humans forget!
Intrinsic to the balance of the body-mind relationship, Marlene also supports the process of purifying the body through infra-red sauna therapy.
